Well, finals week is upon me and I have oh so very wisely (/sarcasm) decided to enter a few DA projects.

Yes I know I'm addicted and I'm suprised I haven't diriven off all my watchers and fans away with all the ref sheets and comic pages I put up without putting up any real art.

In my defense I don't have a scanner yet so I can't scan in most of my sketches and stuff. I might do a sketch dump deviation when I do get my scanner (which should be any day now) but would you guys be interested in seeing that? Tell me your thoughts.


ANYWAYS, said DA projects I'm entering technically aren't (for once) OCTs!

The first one is 's Secret Wars. The basic storyline is based of of Marvel Comic's Secret Wars storyline in which a mysterious all powerful entity called the Beyonder has taken some super heroes and some villains, stuck em on a planet together and told them to have at each other. What has happened thus far is very very complicated, and if you want to know I suggest reading either the plot synopsis here [link] or take the time to read all six chapters of this thing which is a lot more complicated than the synopsis makes it sound. Anyways in the previous chapter new villains got recruited, and in this chapter Vigil, a hero, hijacked the recruiting machine to recruit some heroes so Secret Wars is open for new entries on the hero side! I'm joining with Jasmine. Those who watch me should know this already.

I'm entering SW most as a way to practice comics. A couple pages per month and I hope to improve a lot both in storytelling and visual aspects. I guess even my current pages are an experiment in digital comiking since I've never really tried to do a completely digital comic of this quality before. Also, plotting with other people is fun!

The second one I'm working on entering is 's Synchronicity. It's a collaborative survival/horror/mystery story that's going to be played out rp style on off DA forums for quality of writing. Only eight people are going to be selected, but what I'm excited about are the secrets. Each character will have a secret that none of the other players know, and =ProfessorM is going to weave all the secrets together as part of the storyline to slowly be revealed. =ProfessorM was the guy who hosted the very first writers only tournament, Desire, which I entered a while ago, so I know that the quality of rp and writing will be awesome!

Also...

I'm starting my own webcomic FINALLY. It's only in the thumbnailing stage, and I plan to get a good 10-20 pages done before I start actually uploading stuff. I currently plan on uploading it to Smackjeeves ( htttp://www.smackjeeves.com ) considering I already have an account there and some people I know already have their comics there. Here's hoping I don't loose steam this time, it's been several weeks and I haven't given up on the idea yet so let's see if I can keep going!!!
